Lat-Tri Insertion Stretch – Instructions
- Use a support.
- Get on your knees and put your elbows on this support.
- Use a weight to help you align the arms with the line of your back.
- Your arms go down and hold a weight behind your head.
- The goal is to have an alignment between your back, your shoulders and your upper arms.
- Push down gently your shoulder blades towards the ground in order to stretch your shoulders.
- Hold the position for 30 to 60 seconds.
- When the exercise becomes easy, pull your knees back until you do this exercise on your feet.
- You have to keep your back straight and your lower back in retroversion (which points towards the sky).
- This exercise is useful for the opening of your shoulders before your handstand practice.
